All roles are open.

Workshop Fee: $325
Scholarships are available. You will have an opportunity to pay the fee, or request a scholarship, during the registration process. The fee must be paid, or a scholarship requested, in order to register for an audition slot. In the event you are not cast, or withdraw your application prior to the cast list being released, your fee will be refunded in full.

Audition Procedures

  • You must register in advance for an audition slot, at the link above. You may audition on either night. Please arrive at Finn Hall 20 minutes prior to your scheduled audition time.

  • Please bring your completed Audition Form (download) and Conflict Schedule (download)

  • When completing your audition form, please be sure you have listed the parts you are auditioning for and the parts you will accept, including ensemble. Listing YES to a role or ensemble and then dropping the show because you are unhappy with the casting reflects poorly upon you, and will be considered in future auditions. If at any point during auditions or callbacks you would like to update your Audition Form, let us know. It is imperative that the casting team has this information before casting the show.

  • Be prepared to submit ALL conflicts for the workshop period and show dates. We will cast the show based on submitted conflicts. For those enrolled in another RCT activity, these conflicts will be approved and you may participate in both RCT activities. Any conflicts added after casting may affect your ability to remain in the show.

  • Please bring sheet music, double sided and hole punched, in a binder. Mark a section of music 16 - 32 bars long. Be sure that the sheet music has piano accompaniment and not just a vocal line. Your song should be from a Broadway show other than Mean Girls. An accompanist will be provided for you.

  • Once everyone has sung, we will have dance auditions as a group.

Callbacks
The callback list will be sent out via email by 12pm on Tuesday, 4/16. Callbacks will be held on Tuesday, 4/16, at 6:30pm.

We will not be calling back for all roles, so if you are not called, this does not necessarily mean you are not cast. The final cast list will be sent out via email by Friday, 4/19

Rehearsals
Rehearsals will begin after the cast list is released and will typically be held Sunday-Thursday afternoon/evenings and some Saturdays. Not all cast members will be called to every rehearsal. Rehearsals will be longer and later during Tech and Dress rehearsals. Please refer to the Conflict Schedule (link above) as all white spaces listed are potential rehearsal times for the production.

Performances
Our performances will be held in front of a live audience.

Costumes
Most costumes will be provided. The costumer may ask cast members to provide standard items that they may already have, like a white dress shirt.
Cast members will be expected to provide appropriate shoes, socks, and undergarments.

Volunteer Hours
We cannot offer our Mainstage Teen Workshops without the help of cast family members. We ask that each family volunteer for a minimum of 15 hours, including one Annex shift. More info will be emailed regarding volunteering for set creation, snack bar sales, ticket sales, and annex help. If you are unable to volunteer outside of our one annex shift, you may bring items to fulfill your hour minimum.

Audition Procedures

  • You must register in advance for an audition slot, at the link above. You may audition on either night. Please arrive at Finn Hall 20 minutes prior to your scheduled audition time. You will be required to wait outside until you are called in.

  • Please bring a recorded accompaniment for your vocal audition. This should be a 30 - 45 second section of a song from a Broadway musical other than Seussical Jr. An accompanist will not be available.

  • Once everyone has sung, we will have dance auditions as a group.

Callbacks
The callback list will be sent out via email by 12pm on Tuesday, 12/12. Callbacks will be held on Tuesday, 12/12, at 6pm.

We will not be calling back for all roles, so if you are not called, this does not necessarily mean you are not cast. The final cast list will be sent out via email by Friday, 12/15.

We cannot offer our Mainstage Youth Workshops without the help of cast family members.

Rehearsals and Time Commitment

Rehearsals will generally be held one evening per week depending upon performer availability. Not all group members will be needed at every rehearsal.
