Location: Virtually via Zoom
Students will learn the fundamentals of an actor and the process of creating their character. They will be able to apply what they learn to a monologue that will lead to the final performance in week 4. This is an interactive class – students will be required to be on camera and interact with their peers and their instructor.
Class Components:
CREATIVE THINKING - We explore different lenses of looking at things. Students are encouraged to use our safe space to express themselves.
BUILDING SELF ESTEEM AND CONFIDENCE - We encourage our students to go at their own pace and what explore what they’re comfortable with while giving them that extra push.
SPEAKING SKILLS - what you say is important, and how you say it makes it important. We’ll build their confidence while learning how to speak in public.
This course is for those who have the acting bug, and are interested in learning more about what it takes to become an actor. This course requires low pressure, and provides a safe place to play.

Acting 101
Ages: 8 years - 15 years
Tuesdays, July 14 - August 4
Class Meeting Time: 4pm-5pm
Class Fee: $50
This class is for students who have little or no previous acting experience. This class gives the basics on movement, projection, character analysis, and the expectations of an actor in theatre. The student will be given a monologue to work on during the course of the four week session to explore the character through text. This class is low pressure, and provides a safe space to explore acting for theatre.

Acting 102
Ages: 8 years - 15 years
Thursdays, July 16 - August 6
Class Meeting Time: 4pm-5pm
Class Fee: $50
This class is for students who have attended Acting 101 or have some previous acting experience. This class gives a deeper dive into the concepts of movement, projection, character analysis, and the expectations of an actor in theatre. Students will be assigned character parts and participate in a live script read during the course of the four week session. This class is low pressure, and provides a safe space to explore acting for theatre.

Character Analysis
Ages: 13+
Wednesdays, July 15 - August 5
Class Meeting Time: 4pm-5pm
Class Fee: $50
This class is for students who have some previous theatre experience and would like to dive deeper into exploring character. This class gives the basics of discovering character traits through the character’s motives, actions, sayings, and descriptions. This is a class for those who want to nerd out and dissect the characters they love.
