The first class will be a “Best Foot Forward” exploration. This will involve bringing in a 16-32 bar cut from any show that you feel shows you at your best. Following the first class, each week will be a mock audition for a musical that that will be announced the week prior. We will begin in the Golden Age of Musical Theatre and work our way towards contemporary work.
During each class, you will perform your chosen musical cut, watch each of your classmates perform their cuts in order to glean information, and participate in elaborate discussions regarding the audition room and what a director is looking for.
